MyOffice Helps San Diego Technology Startups Get off the Ground
SAN DIEGO, CA - December 24, 2009 - Early this fall, MyOffice and EvoNexus, a non-profit "incubator" for technology startups, helped three San Diego startups get up and running. The selected companies - Medipacs, IQ Semiconductor, and Pixon Imaging - were the top choices among a group of more than 80 applicants.
MyOffice helped each of the three new companies save over $20,000 in initial costs by providing furniture, moving services and cable installation. In addition to cutting back on costs, the MyOffice team did what they do best and took charge of each project enabling the businesses to focus on getting started without the distraction of the move.
Cathy Pucher, Executive Director of EvoNexus said they have complete confidence in MyOffice?s ability to help because "it just wasn?t until the full weight of the move was upon us that I understood all they could do?that move would have been an incredible, awful distraction for the incubator companies."
MyOffice's participation in this project was a remarkable experience for everyone involved. Donations of time and money made to EvoNexus by the community enable local startups to get off the ground with fully furnished office spaces, utilities and Internet services paid as well as two years of free rent.
"At MyOffice we are dedicated to contributing to the growth of the business community in San Diego?and will continue our involvement with EvoNexus and other outreach programs to do so,? said Ron Harrell, CEO of MyOffice.
EvoNexus has already chosen the next three businesses they will incubate?and plan to help along at least twelve companies in San Diego overall.
